Burnout is real, and it has real impacts on employee productivity and mental health within and outside of the workplace. When employees are suffering from burnout, anxiety, depression or other mental health issues, their ability to do their work diminishes. Experts point out that the root causes of burnout are created at the organizational level. As such, it requires an organizational solution, rather than placing the burden on the shoulders of the individuals who are suffering burnout.
